Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500

The Royal Thunderbird is offered with two engine options - 350cc and 500cc. The Thunderbird 500 features the same engine as seen on the Royal Enfield Classic 500. The single-cylinder, air-cooled, twin-spark engine delivers 27.5PS at 5250rpm and 41.3Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The cruiser bike employs a single downtube frame and uses the engine as a stressed member. The 41mm telescopic front forks and gas-charged twin shocks at the rear take care of damping duties. The Thunderbird was the first Royal Enfield to feature disc brakes on both ends and this one gets a 280mm front and a 240mm rear disc. The bike tips the scales at 197kg and features a humongous 20-litre fuel tank, meaning lesser fuel stops.

Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 BS4 is the flagship cruiser from the century old British motorcycle brand. It carries a price tag of INR 1.80 lakh while uses a single cylinder 499cc, air cooled and fuel injected model, producing 27.2 BHP at 5250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. It claims a wet weight of 195 kg while the huge 20 liter fuel tank is quite useful on long rides. The heavyweight body helps it maintain the stable riding experience on nearly every king of terrain. It uses 41 mm telescopic forks and comes with an approx. top speed of 130 kmph. Thunderbird 500 rivals UM Renegade Commando and Bajaj Dominar 400 in the Indian market.
